Free contest!

Nowadays it is not uncommon to see many products with book covers or phrases from book series being featured. Many indie authors such as Lizzy Ford has developed this in products such as bookmarks.
I figured that this would be a great thing to try but rather than design everything myself I will give my fellow Aradians a chance to submit designs and things. You can also submit an idea for what kind of product you want your design to appear on. Anything from a t-shirt to a tote bag to even a bumper sticker.

There is only one catch: you must submit your design to my email address at
If they meet with both my and my editor Harrison R. Bradlow's approval then we will use them.

Keep in mind you can suggest what type of product you want it to be used on.

Don't worry if we approve you will get a percentage of the products sales and we will acknowledge your name with design. You can even give it your own personal signature.

The contest will last until next year the sixth book comes out. So either way, everybody wins.

Good luck my fellow Aradians.
The designs are things you can come up with on your own. The same with the products but here are some examples of the products you can choose:

Smashwords Adds Price Manager & Library Direct - GalleyCat

Smashwords Adds Price Manager & Library Direct - GalleyCat: "Self-publishing site Smashwords has updated its platform adding a new pricing tool and a new library feature.

AppNewser has more: “The “Pricing Manager” feature lets authors and publishers set the retail price of their books within the dashboard of Smashwords. The second new feature is called Library Direct, which enables libraries and consortiums to place large orders with Smashwords and license eBooks in bulk. Smashwords expects these orders to amount to about $30,000 for the set. Authors and publishers will earn 70 percent of the library price, which is higher than the 45 percent earned aggregator partners.”"

'On the Island' author Tracey Garvis Graves' path to romance - USATODAY.com

'On the Island' author Tracey Garvis Graves' path to romance - USATODAY.com: Tracey Garvis Graves has one of those dream-come-true stories that make other authors simultaneously delirious with joy on her behalf and jealous as all-get-out. See, Tracey self-published a book that had been soundly rejected by the traditional publishing world.

Releasing another book

Although I am still hard at work with my fifth book I figured I would give my readers a treat. In many of the self help books I have read one of the biggest advices given is show some of the stuff that got you started writing. Therefore, I have decided to release an anthology of poetry that I have written. Included will also be two other poets who are also my friends. I will include their poems and the websites where you can contact them. I will post the link where you can buy the book online. If it is possible I might make it a paperbacks

Here is the book:
It is called Burning Bright

700,000 books later, she finally has a ‘bestseller’ - The Style Blog - The Washington Post

700,000 books later, she finally has a ‘bestseller’ - The Style Blog - The Washington Post: Dropped by her print publisher after lackluster sales, Belleville, a Stanford economics grad and a former singer/songwriter, started self-publishing her e-books two years ago. When steamy titles like “Take Me” and “Game for Love” caught on, she started writing new books as fast as her fingers could fly (and that’s pretty fast — she writes several books a year). Online retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Nook caught the sales and she hit those retailer’s lists, but she remained under the radar of non-retailers.

Self-publishing boosts US print output | The Bookseller

Self-publishing boosts US print output | The Bookseller: New figures suggest that recent growth in the self-publishing market has led to the first increase in print book output in the US in four years, while the print-on-demand industry’s growth has declined 69%.

Preliminary figures from Bowker, the US bibliographic information services company, are leading it to project that between 2010 and 2011, traditional print book output increased by 6%, from 328,259 titles to 347,178 books, which it says was “driven almost exclusively by a strong self-publishing market".

Tales of Aradia: Big Changes Coming in Volume 2 - the official website of Harrison Bradlow

Tales of Aradia: Big Changes Coming in Volume 2 - the official website of Harrison Bradlow: there is at least one plot bombshell dropping in Volume 2: a human learns some hidden secrets. That's right. You heard it here first (maybe).

But who? And how much do they learn?

Hugh Howey: How My Self-Published Book 'Wool' Became A Hot Movie Property

Hugh Howey: How My Self-Published Book 'Wool' Became A Hot Movie Property: Many moons ago, long before I dreamed of seeking fame and fortune as a self-published author, back when I was of that peculiar age when young men choose to live in smelly apartments with other young and smelly men, I had as a roommate the incredible and talented drummer of Charlie's on Acid.

Rusty was a lovely chap with the long hair and authentic facial hair you'd expect of a rock and roll artist, and he was quite beloved for being considerably less messy than my brother and I. But what made Rusty a legend in my eyes (aside from the groupies) was his minor role in a feature film. Charlie's on Acid, you see, was the band chosen to play Brandon Lee's backup in The Crow. When they show band posters in the film featuring Brandon as the lead singer, those are my friends Sean, Rusty, Eric, and Toby in the background trying to look suitably boss.

Girl Says Autism Won't Stop Singing Career - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports NASHVILLE, Tenn. – It may be hard to believe at first, but Katie Chance didn't even speak until she was four years old. "I think most of it is stress because I get very stressed if something doesn't go right," she said Tuesday night. "I really had to learn that if something goes wrong I have to deal with it and move on." As a toddler, doctors diagnosed her with Asperger's syndrome, a mild form of autism.
