FOURTEEN flashes of fiction eBook: Rosalind Smith-Nazilli: Amazon.co.uk: Books:

'via Blog this'

FOURTEEN flashes of fiction is the first of five collections of short and flash fiction.

These stories are diverse, but most convey ordinary people who do not always find themselves in ordinary situations. Some of these people are not what they seem, and some of them most definitely are.

You could find yourself in some of these situations, and some of them you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

Rosalind Smith-Nazilli was born in the UK but currently resides in Turkey with her husband.
Educated to degree level, she studied at Reading University and went on to become a nurse. She is now retired and spends her time writing, knitting and walking the dog.
She has been a writer for a great many years but has only recently decided to start publishing collections of her short fiction.
Her work has appeared on various sites dedicated to flash fiction and some may be seen here - http://rosiesmith-nazilliwrites.blogspot.com/
A charity anthology is in the works, and she is currently collating stories and poems from 100 authors to raise money in the memory of a young lad who passed away last year. He managed to raise a fortune himself before he did so, for cancer research.

'Three Kids'

Three Kids
Author: Jonathan Suarez

Having three kids had always been a dream of mine but now that I’m a stressed mom I’m thinking twice about whether or not I want that third. My husband is all for it but he’s not the one who has to quit his job and stay home to take care of them or the one who has to do all the cooking, the laundry, the toy buying. I recently got Direct tV for the house which I swore I’d never do simply because I didn’t want the kids growing up watching too much TV but at the end of the day I had to find something to keep them occupied while I showered and whatnot and that’s going to be the easiest solution. Two kids right now seems overwhelming so I don’t really know what I’m going to do with a third if we decide to have one. It’s an ongoing conversation in our house and we still haven’t really come to any kind of resolution!

Karen Dales brings fresh blood to the vampire genre.” —Michelle Rowen,

Released from more than one hundred years of revenge, the Angel of Death
is no longer a tool for the Grand Council of the Chosen. He is finally
free to return to a semblance of a life with Father Paul Notus.

Haunted by nightmares of his past misdeeds and failings the Angel wants
nothing more than to be left alone. It is across the Atlantic, in a
foreign country, that he joins Notus, taking up the mantle once more as a
protector in a land where those who would see him dead have flourished.

Corbie Vale has not forgotten what the Angel has done. His own burning
need to see the Angel humiliated and Destroyed sets into motion a
carefully seeded plan despite warnings of greater retribution.

Now in Corbie’s territory, the Angel’s sword becomes the lure to a trap,
one that changes the Angel by giving him what he never dreamed of –
mortality.
